Guatemala Earthquake Was Predicted Week in Advance – More to Come?

In an article this author published on September 11th, 2011 this author made reference to three previous predictions that came to pass and re-affirmed a fourth prediction. The author’s fourth prediction came to pass with a series of earthquakes in Central America over the last 24 hours. This activity could be more significant than the media is realizing as the author predicts another earthquake to occur soon.

In an article “Warning: Tropical Storms Could Trigger Earthquake” published on September 11th this author re-iterates his prediction of September 9th “I now predict that within the next two weeks there will be an earthquake on the south-south eastern edge of the North American tectonic plate in the Caribbean area where the North American tectonic plate meets the Caribbean plate and along that fault line going eastward along the edge with the South American plate…The most likely point of release of pressure seems to be the Caribbean plate, specifically along Central America (with impact being felt in Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Belize and southern Mexico) and eastward to the Caribbean islands.”

Within the last 24 hours 5 earthquakes hit Guatemala (ranging from magnitude 4.3 to magnitude 5.8), one hit El Salvador and one hit Puerto Rico for a total of 7 earthquakes in total. Here is a list of the activity:

-       Magnitude 5.8, Guatemala, Sep 19 19:34:00 2011 BST

-       Magnitude 4.8, Guatemala, Sep 19 20:17:54 2011 BST

-       Magnitude 4.5, Guatemala, Sep 19 21:30:04 2011 BST

-       Magnitude 4.3, Guatemala, Sep 20 1:22:52 2011 BST

-       Magnitude 4.6, Guatemala, Sep 20 5:28:52 2011 BST

-       Magnitude 4.2, offshore El Salvador, Sep 20 7:32:44 2011 BST

-       Magnitude 2.8, Puerto Rico region, Sep 20 10:39:25 2011 BST

It appears to the author that the activity over the last two days where the Pacific plate meets the Australian plate increased pressure, possibly causing the Pacific plate to rotate slightly and push eastward into the Nazca and Cocos plates. This in turn caused shifting pressures on the faults joining the Caribbean, South American, North American, Nazca and Cocos plates.

The tremor activity in the Alaskan region on September 18, 2011 likely added southward and south-eastward pressure on the Pacific plate. This explains the earthquakes that followed along the western fault lines of the Pacific plate. This in turn was followed by many earthquakes in the Central America region as this author had predicted would happen within 1-2 weeks in an article mentioned above

This makes four predictions by this author in the last month that have been made and now come to pass. The author now predicts that there will be increased earthquake activity along the western edges of the Caribbean and South American plates. The greatest point of continued interest is the east edge of the Caribbean plate. Hence, though there have been many tremors in adjustment to the pressures described above, the author believes the greatest likelihood of a significant earthquake event remains in the Central American region.
