Go Green! Green!

Some green facts for those who are interested in how our home is changing….

People, people! It is time we take action to help and join our hands and efforts to save our planet! We can start from little things into big things. Don’t you see it everywhere, ice glaciers once massive, now are melting. Droughts appear on some areas of the world, sea levels are rising (more floods), more pollution which means the atmosphere is becoming more toxic the more chemicals are released into the air.

In the end, who’s going to suffer? us! The people who caused the trouble. Below are facts that might shock some of you.

  • Ice is melting all over the world mostly in the north, and south poles.
  • Some species of animals move to cooler areas due to the heat.
  • Diseases will spread faster, malaria by mosquitoes.
  • With less ice on which polar bears eat and fish for food, polar bears have grown skinnier.
  • Humans give off carbon dioxide, and fortunately plants take in carbon dioxide and release oxygen. If deforestation continues less trees will be able to absorb carbon dioxide.
  • Carbon dioxide is the most important man-made warming agent, and look where it got us now…
  • Each year humans all over the world dumps an average of 8.8 billion tons of carbon in to the atmosphere.
  • The ocean waters and plants, and trees delay the effect of more warming by absorbing half of them, but the other half is still corrupting the atmosphere.
  • Today, carbon dioxide is mostly created by burning coal, oil and wood.
  • The biggest cause on global warming: Greenhouse gases (GHGs)
  • Without carbon dioxide plants, algae can’t process them into food for themselves and can’t release oxygen; the problem is we created too much.
  • Soft drinks contain the food additive ‘E 290′ which creates the ‘fizz’ and contains carbon dioxide.
  • Nitrous oxide is a greenhouse gas, not toxic or destructive keeps our planet green, plants need nitrous oxide in order to photosynthesis, and to grow; fertilizers.
  • Farmers around the Earth use more than 70 million tons of nitrogen fertilizers, yearly.
  • Nitrous oxide use has increased by 18% since 1750.

I hope you have found these facts interesting and will make you think twice before you ’hurt’ Earth.
