The analysis is still to be done to ensure that the object is a meteorite that fell. However, how exactly the characteristics of a meteorite that fell to Earth?

Thomas Djamaluddin of the National Aeronautics and Space Agency (LAPAN) when contacted by Kompas.com today revealed that the prominent features of the meteorites that fell to Earth is the former burning.

“The meteorite fell to Earth through the atmosphere to warm up and cool down. So most prominent feature is the presence of the former part of the fire,” said Thomas.

If a meteorite that fell in the form of rocks, the former is relatively easy burning was observed.

“On the rocks as there are parts that burned up in flames, there are sections such as the former melting and peeling, from the shape and apparently also different from the rocks on Earth, usually more subtle,” said Thomas.

Meanwhile, if the meteorite in the form of metal, should be more detailed observations.

“Metal is a metal usually rough, not as refined metal in the Earth. So different from the metal on Earth. When viewed in color, the metal tends to black,” said Thomas.

So far, not yet known whether the mysterious object in Balaraja are metal or rock. Which is now known, the object shaped like the letter Y, is black and weighs over 100 kg.

it happens , as some of the meteoroids which are traveling around the sun in between earth and mars sometimes attracted from the gravitation power of the earth and then fell into it. They are very small in size.
