1. The Emperor Tamarin

Above, the Emperor Tamarin was named because it looked like German emperor Wilhelm2. Known for its long white mustache, the Emperor Tamarin is located in Southwest Amazon Basin, North Bolivia, and in East Peru. This animal resides in the deep forest spending most of its time in trees.

2. The Proboscis Monkey

This funny looking monkey is known for its large nose that some people think is used for mating. The nose is also used to boost their honking or warning calls. Their nose fills with blood making their calls louder.

3.The Sloth

This animal gets its name from being such a slow animal that lives in trees. They are omnivores meaning that they eat both plants and animals. These shy animals are nocturnal that digest food extremely slow during night.

The Alpaca

The Alpaca lives in South America and are bred for their fibers to make a variety of textiles. This animal will occasionally spit a nasty mix of saliva and grass. These animals can be extremely gross and dirty if they want to.

5. The Star-nosed Mole

The Star-nosed Mole is blind and uses it’s nose to probe the ground for food. The nose is extremely sensitive and is covered with touch receptors. It is a good swimmer and can be found at the bottom of ponds.
