Actually, the information is spotty at best being put forth in a somewhat difficult to follow way. Spelling is most important in a published article as is factual and provable research. Since there are startling points that are obviously incorrect, and everyone is buying into it and complimenting it, something should be said.
The comment on the Bulldog Bat for example is complete conjecture. Stating as fact that 137 db is \”over 100 times louder than (a) rock concert\” which, in reality, comes in at an avg. of 120dB is misleading enough, but why the math couldn\’t be done by anyone else yet is another puzzle. By that statement a rock concert is 1.37dB. Uuuuhh, right.
We also have the same kind of logic with the insect at 120dB; again 100 times louder than a \”music discotheque\”. They avg. like the concert at 120dB of course depending on the club in question, they can be much louder. Not the 1.20dB reported.
I don\’t know how quiet those readings are, but I do know if I went to a concert or club and tried to listen to music at that volume I\’d never have a hearing problem in my old age. KC

DeciBels are logarithmic, not linear. each 10dB is louder by a factor or of 10. So for example 120 dB is 100 times louder than 100 dB. 200dB is 10,000,000,000 times louder than 100 dB.
