Top 10 Deadliest Animals

The little mosquito starts us off.

  1. Mosquito- Most bites itch but some can carry the disease malaria, which causes parasites. Mosquito’s that carry malaria are the killers of more than 2 million people each year
  2. Asian Cobra- The Asian Cobra doesn’t hold the “Most Venomous Snake” title, but they have there fair share of kills. Out of the 50,000 snake bite deaths each year this cobra has the largest chunk.
  3. Australian Box Jellyfish- Known more as the sea wasp the salad bowl shaped jellyfish can have 60 tentacles with 5000 cells that sting. Each tentacle has enough poison to kill 60 humans.
  4. Great White Shark- Bloody water will excite most sharks to a feeding frenzy. Where 3,000 sharp teeth can’t wait to bite any thing that moves.
  5. African Lion- Giant fangs? Yup. Lightning quick? Oh yeah. Razor sharp claws? Totally. Hungry? Probably. I would stay away.
  6. Australian Saltwater Crocodile- Better not mistake this croc for a log! They lay completely still in the water, waiting for their next prey. Then, faster then you can say “hi”, it’ll lunge at you, pulling it under into the deep water to drown and dismember you.
  7. Elephant- Most elephants are not as friendly as Dumbo. Elephants can account for more than 500 deaths a year worldwide. African elephants weigh about 16,000 pounds – all the better to stomp you with – not to mention their sharp tusks.
  8. Polar Bear- Though looking cuddly at the zoo ,in the wild they eat elephant seals for breakfast literally. Get between one and its cub and your head is gone with one swipe of its huge paw.
  9. Cape Buffalo- When faced with a predator, these monsters charge head on. That’s 1,500 pounds of raw animal topped off with two giant, pointy horns. You’re lucky if there’s only one – the real danger comes when a herd of thousands stampedes in your direction.
  10. Poison Dart Frog-try to kiss this frog and find yourself in the graveyard. Their backs ooze a slimy neurotoxin meant to keep predators of the jungle away. Each and every frog produces enough of the toxin to kill 10 humans.

Hey Brady, this is a really great top ten list. It’s amazing that one of the smallest pests in nature is also the most deadliest. I thought that Hippos were also very aggressive and dangerous creatures that kill humans. You can post this to our site http://www.toptentopten.com/ and then link back to your site. The coolest feature is you can let other people vote on the rankings of your list.
