The Reston Zoo
Published by Is a smaller but fun and educational zoo in Fairfax County,Virginia.
This is a smaller zoological park located in northern Virginia,a suburb of Washington,DC.The zoological park is 30 acres,with walking trails a reptile house,Zoofari Wagon Ride and much more.It is a great place great for the whole family,especially with younger children or with out a lot of time or you can spend the whole day there.
The animals that can be seen there include monkeys, kangaroos, alligator, tortoises,bison and a wide variety of birds and many more interesting animals!
It is very educational and great or people that want a closer communication with the exotic animals. Many of the animals can be fed.There are information plates in front of the exhibits.There are various workshops and events going on there during the summer months.
And also birthday parties are available there!
The children enjoy the petting barn of the park where they can feed and pet the animals such as sheep, lambs, goats, llamas, rabbits,and pot-belly pigs.
Cups of food can be purchased or $3 each or 4 cups for $10 and lamb bottles for $1.50 each.There are also many souvenirs available in the gift shop.
The Zoofari wagon ride there is also very enjoyable for adults.Where you ride on hay bales on a large wagon and seeing larger animals roaming free.
The Zoofari Ride is available which is included in the admission fee which is at the reasonable rate $11 for ages 13 to 64,over 65 is $10 and ages 2 to 12, $8 and under the age 2 is free. Pony rides for the kids are priced at $4 each.However there is a limit of 65 pounds.
There is also seasonal passes and reciprocal membership that are available there that can also be used at their sister zoological parks in Natural Bridge,Virginia and Gulf Breeze,Florida

A trip to the zoo here (UK) would cost about the equivalent of $40 each, possibly more!

Ok wow is that in reston Va or some where else because I didn’t see it I might have over looked it, I have 3 kids myself and I know that they would like it.
