I have a breed of a Serengeti at home. I got her from a wild animal handler that had mixed the mother with a domestic. They are highly intelligent and they talk like monkeys.

Not to offend, but….the majority of these animals are variations of brown, beige, rust, black, grey and white. Although I agree the patterns are fantastic on these animals, I find that you are incorrect in calling them colorful.
On March 28, 2009 at 2:47 pm
collies? shetlands? they are similar enough and aren’t too impressive. you should’ve mentioned catahoula leopard dog, they all have interesting patterns. and like what vraiment said, the title of this article should be “amazing mammal fur patterns” instead of colored mammals.

WOW
On April 10, 2009 at 9:05 pm
I like all of these, but you should add the tabby tiger!
On April 12, 2009 at 8:27 pm
So whats the deal vraiment? if they are not in your 5 pack of crayons they are not colors to you? There is much more to life the red, blue, orange, yellow and green.
On May 27, 2009 at 11:47 pm
The cat photo listed as “tortishell and white” is incorrect. It is actually called Calico.
