The Dingo

The dingo is a Dog native to Australia, here I look at the dingo and the reasons for it not being domesticated.

The Dingo is a native breed of wild dog, which inhabits Australia and solely this continent. It is one of the only breeds of dog that has not been fully domesticated of yet.  Within this essay I am going to explore and find out the reasons why this dog has not been domesticated and the motivated cause of why it should only reside in naturally Australia alone.

Firstly a resounding and evocative reason for this mammal’s existence to dwell naturally and non-commercially, in an antonym to the modern cultivated dog; is that the dingo is a wide spread species as in the way it does not occupy one area of Australian land, but the animals themselves are scattered, therefore harder to round up for commercial breeding. As wild dogs the people of Australia may also see fit that their reputation of being wild is kept that way, as the ferial dog; this idea seems appropriate as the Australian Wildlife is seemingly taken up by a wild majority of animals rather than domesticated ones, which appear on most other continents and countries. Although not many people have thought these creatures were tameable, few recent cases have however proved this wrong, while in context there is little need for a new breed of broken canine.

Dingoes only appear naturally in Australia manly due to the fact that they were not generally exported to other countries to feature as part of their wildlife. This is because universally this is rare and as the dingo is not a true domesticated pet people see little need to keep them other than in captivity for zoological, scientific and commercial knowledge research reasons such as zoo confinements. As dogs they are an unable species when long distant water travel is involved, therefore exploration in breed able numbers to surrounding island and continents is farfetched and unlikely. So the impression of only coming from Australia holds true. Dingoes themselves may also have trouble adjusting to varying environments, which may also hold true to other Australian verities of animals.

In conclusion the incentive that these beasts are kept wild and free rather than engulfed into human development and controlled restraints resides manly because the animal has not entered the ideological side of human intellect that they may be domesticated for human usage, as most modern tame dogs were once thought of. This breed of being has gone for so long without being seen within this light that it may never fully be, even if in future dingo domesticating research is carried out and preached. This barrier has prevented the animals from breeding naturally and inhabiting any other continent; Australia stands alone and as a dog, these animals have no means of their own across sea transportation to take them long distances to other continents. It is not clear however why these organisms were never the product of surrounding islands, environment and rivalry species may have been the creative reason for this, it is also know that many other species of animals only resides in this country alone.
