Bull Moose
· A bull moose can reach 1,400 pounds, which is heavier than a female.
· They can be eight feet tall, and their antlers can grow to 70 inches across.
· The tundra moose, in Alaska, can be 1,800 pounds and 8.5 feet long.
All Moose
- Moose can run up to 35 mph.
- They are found in lightly forested and marshy areas in North America.
- Because of their fur, moose are uncomfortably warm in 23 degrees Fahrenheit.
- They make grunting and whistle-like noises to communicate.
- When frightened, a moose will go crashing through trees.
