Lion vs. Tiger

A comparision between lions and tigers.

Although the lion and tiger are both members of the cat family, they still have a lot of differences. Most lions live in Africa and some live in Western India, while tigers are only found in Asia. Lions like to live in grassy plains with scattered and are rarely found in forested areas, but the tigers prefer wooded areas and rarely ever go into the open country.

A male lion’s mane covers his head, neck and chest and their fur is golden-brown which blends in with the grass, but tigers on the other hand have short ruff of hair on the side of their heads and their fur is orange-red with black stripes. Lions mostly eat zebra, wildebeest and antelope and hunt in groups but the tiger hunts alone and eat pigs, deer, and antelope.
