Leopard Gecko

Classification

The leopard gecko is classified in the category of Gekkonidae. The leopard gecko’s scientific name is “Eublepharis macularius.” The Leopard gecko belongs in the class of reptilia. The gecko is a vertebrae animal.

 

Habitat

The leopard gecko lives in the dry forest or in a warm a climate.

The gecko is found all over in the places around the equator. Their habitats are in danger, tons of acres of dry forest is cut down each week to make room for other things. The gecko lives in every continent except for Antarctica. Some types of geckos are found in the remote islands in the pacific.

Feeding Habits

Leopard geckos eat many sorts of insects, but they don’t eat other animals. They eat mostly flies over other insects. They have systems that suck nutrients out of the insect. They probably camouflage until an insect comes along.

 

Adaptation/Body Structure

The Leopard gecko isn’t very dangerous and is good for a pet. They grow to about 15 inches max. The leopard gecko can bite, but their bites aren’t poisonous. However when they bite they usually hold on for a while. They can also survive a climate change.

 Life Cycle

 The Leopard geckos grow a lot after there birth. Almost all the geckos are less then one foot when they’re born. The leopard gecko is around eight inches when it’s born. They’re born in a pinkish colour.

    Like any other reptile or animal,a leopard gecko prefers a specific set of surroundings so you probably need to make a small investment to purchase the sort of habitat that is best for them to thrive and grow.
