Fun Little Animals

The humming of the Hummingbirds is the most unique amongst the many birds around the world. That is also the reason why they were named hummingbirds because of the humming sound they make when they are flapping their wings mid air. They can flap their wing 15-80 times per second. The other thing that hummingbirds are unique is that they are the only birds that can fly backwards. There are no other birds can fly backwards mid air. There are many kinds of hummingbirds and they can only be found in the America area.

Squirrel’s reminds me of the Chipmunks cartoons which I liked to watch when I was in a young age. The most common type is the Tree squirrels which have bushy tails. There are many kinds of squirrel; there are the one’s that can fly and there are the one’s that stays in the ground which are the chipmunks and prairie dogs. Squirrels can much into anytime but their most favorite is the nuts.

Lady bird or lady bug belongs to the family of beetles. They are about 1 mm to 10 mm in size and the most common color for the lady bird is yellow, red or orange with black dots on their wings. Their heads and legs are all back and the antennas also. Lady bugs are useful insects as they eat aphids which are pest in your plants. I usually get to see them in vegetable plants like Okra, etc.

The most part that attracts me to frog is their very brilliant colors. Frogs has many astonishing colors like bright red, bright green, yellow, orange and blue. Their colors reflect their amazing diversity the frog species have. They can be seen in jungles, farms, forest, and even in the desert. Frogs are just in every environment on earth. Frogs are poisonous creatures, but there are also frogs that are safe and can be eaten and they say it taste like chicken meat.

Frogs are modern amphibians and they do not have any tails. They do not have necks and they have short bodies. They also have bulging eyes and very good legs that are good in swimming and in jumping. There are about 4,000 kinds of frogs. The only place that frogs do not exist is in the Antarctica because of its freezing temperature.

Most of the frogs are able to camouflage with their surrounding in order to survive. This is the safest way for them to be able to reproduce their kinds. Most of the frogs lay eggs in the water until they become toads and mature into frogs. Frogs likes to eat insects.
