Flying fish are a very interesting species. I first learned about them when I was watching a video about jumping fish. I thought they were really remarkable because they could jump to amazing heights. I wanted to know more about odd types of fish. Flying fish were good candidates because few people know a lot about them.

Flying fish have many abnormal characteristics. They have wings, they appear to fly, and they come in various shapes, sizes and colors. People have many questions about flying fish. Some of the main questions are:  Do they fly? What do they prey on? What are they hunted by? Why are they called flying fish, and

          Flying fish do not fly; they glide with the air current. They vibrate their tail 50-70 times per second and leap out of the water. That is so fast you can’t see it.

Their predators are: marlins, dolphins, porpoises, and albatross birds. They are called Flying fish because they appear to be flying.  They eat zooplankton and small fish.

 People in many parts of the world kill and eat these magnificent creatures. These countries include Japan, Taiwan, and Barbados.

Flying fish are odd, but interesting creatures. They glide in the air and they swim in the ocean. Flying fish are eaten in countries such as Japan, Taiwan, and Barbados. The world has named many great things after the flying fish like a ballistic guided missile, and us carrier fleet, and a constellation. Many people the amazing significance of a flying fish.
