Endangered Animals

In this article I am talking a little about the world’s five most endangered animals and how we can help them.

On average we are currently making one species extinct every single year. I believe that it is because of humans that these animals are dying off so fast. Here is a list of the 5 most endangered animals and how they are becoming extinct.

1.Siberian Tiger:

There are currently less than 200 siberian tigers left on the planet. Most of the one that are still alive are in natural reserves. These tigers have become endangered because they have been hunted and they are losing a lot of habitat.

2.Loggerhead Turtle: This turtle is found in the black seas and the atlantic ocean. This turtle used to be hunted for it’s eggs. This turtle is also commonly killed by being picked up in fishing nets. Several hotels have been built right on the breeding ground.

3.Jackass penguin: This penguin lives in South Africa. This penguin is going extinct because of pollution in the enviornment. It’s becoming harder and harder for this animal to find food.

4.Black Rhinoceros: These rhinos live in west africa. It is estimated that less that 2,500 are alive in the world today. This animal is not affected by loss of habitat but it is becoming endangered because of poaching. There horns are very valuable and worth a lot of money. Most of these rhinos are being slaughterd for profit.

5.Greater Horseshoe Bat: There are aprroximatley 5,000 of these bat left in the wild. People spraying their vegitables with insecticide normally kill these bats. These bats survive off of food from farmers but when they eat it they are becoming sick and dying off.
