A group of scientists have discovered that honeybees can identify human faces if they are properly trained. This recent news will certainly help researchers to upgrade the intelligence system to improve the facial recognition in much more developed way.  Adrian Dyer who is believed to be the famous bee researcher at Monash University in Australia has said in clear cut terms that his year long research can be much helpful to the upgradation of the new imaging technique.  He has further divulged the fact that the bees are much capable of learning the intricate methods to recognize the human face. Those who are computer programmers can take the advantage of using these intellectual bees to improve the artificial facial recognition systems with the help of the sophisticated technology.

It is seen that the modern AI recognition techniques are not fully competent to identify human faces from different angles.  Bees can be used to separate one facial image from another. An experiment was conducted on a swarm of bees to do the facial recognition job.  These bees are given proper training to trace the correct images. They were given sugar as reward for identifying the correct human face and the bitter for recognizing the incorrect images. They saw that these selected bees learnt gradually how to recognize human face.  In the very beginning, the different facial images were laid on the vertical screen and let the bees guess to opt for the right faces. This is little bit complex task but researchers came to conclusion that a bee could be well acquainted with the total training program to learn fast.  

It was also found that those which had the earlier experience of seeing the faces at 0-60 degree angle could identify the faces from the rotational angle of 30 degrees. Therefore they were able to identify the different faces from multiple angles with the help of the image interpolation system. However, researchers after making a deep probe have found that bees can’t fly to the targeted face at first sight. They must have several views of the targeted objects for proper recognition.  Their brains are much developed to differentiate a number of faces.  Therefore scientists are thinking to utilize their brains to develop the artificial intelligence mechanism  with the less technological backup.  This study was done extensively by well known scientists and researchers in Australia and Germany.
