Habitat:The Anaconda snakes are found in South America and also in Trinidad. Dense rainforests and swamps are its favorite places to live and hunt. Anacondas are nocturnal (hunt in night) and during day time they sunbathe in trees.

Hunting: Anaconda hunt alone and attack stealthy. They hunt near water to wait for its prey to drink water and then attack it with high speed, pulling it and drowning it in water. Anaconda has special jaw which has four pair of teeth that allow him to swallow large animals. This huge snake eats fishes, alligators, birds, small deer and rodents.

Reproduction:Anacondas are solitary animal except during mating season. They are viviparous which means that the eggs are incubated and the young are born alive. One female can give birth up to 100 hatchlings but in very rare cases. On birth they are only two feet long and have greater chance to eat by predators.

The population of anacondas are decreasing due to man and habitat destruction. Most local peoples kill these snakes on sight that’s why when they sense humans they change its direction. Human death by anaconda is quite rare.

110 ft? oh dear some got their numbers wrong. Try 30 ft maximum, and I doubt any that size survive these days.
