Why People Should be in Cages When They Visit The Zoo

Here is a collection of videos and reasons why cages should keep people out of animal enclosures.

There has been rising cases of visitors climbing into animal enclosures and getting too close to animal cages in zoos around the world. Serious injuries and death resulted in some cases. One zoo director explained that zoos can only do so much to keep the animals in and people out. I propose a radical change. Let’s put people in cages instead and let the animals walk freely.

Giant Panda Grabs Chinese Dude’s Jacket

I was not sure at first whether the person or the panda was smarter. From this video however, it looks like the panda was smarter among the two. The panda grabbed the man’s jacket when he leaned his back on the panda’s cage. A tug of war ensued between the panda, the man and fellow visitors there. In the end, the panda seemed happy with its new toy, the man’s jacket while the crowd gets rowdy and excited about the encounter. For this one I have to blame the zoo for it’s paw friendly enclosure.

For safety reasons, people should be inside this type of cages. At least they will understand how it feels like to be inside one.

Woman Jumps Into A Polar Bear Enclosure

If you never seen someone taking a  plunge with the polar bears, here is your chance. This lady went psycho and jumped into a pool with three adult polar bears. Fortunately the polar bears were distracted by the life buoys onlookers threw in. Just watch the video and see for yourself.

I suggest that the zoo prepare a stray jacket specially for the lady when she pays another visit to the zoo. Just in case she tries to take another plunge.

This looks like a good model for her.

Binky the Polar Bear Grabs A Woman

What is it about polar bears and women? Can’t they get along? Another lady tried to take a closer look at a male polar bear called Binky. She climbed down a barrier and went closer to the cage. The polar bear was also curious and went closer to the cage. Unfortunately it was not a match made in heaven. It was love at first bite.

Never give cute names to dangerous animals. I think the name Binky should be reserved for Chihuahuas only. They should call polar bears names like Wolverine or Razor Ramone. Now are you convinced that people should be in cages when they visit zoo or do you still need more examples to be convinced?

Stupidity and ignorance are two fatal flaws we have when dealing with wild animals. People visiting zoos should be aware of that fact and I agree some people should be surrounded by cages when visiting wild things for their own safety.

Sometimes people are getting carried away with their fascination to animals that it is becoming unsafe to them. Yah,you’re right, why do we have to name bears cute names, lol! I like to name it Wolverine instead, lol!

Growl. People are stupid. You know full well if they were capable of talking after the incident then whatever they say is a lie. So have fun trying to lock up the animals in the cage when you’re the one in the cage. We are all going to die due to stupidity.

I don’t believe in taking any wild animal out of it’s natural habitat/environment .. but if it’s necessary for the survival of that species .. then I will pay to see them up close. People forget that wild animals don’t attack people by choice – and when you don’t show them the respect and appreciation they deserve – they do what comes naturally. Very good Sharif :=)

Lol. Looking at the article’s name I thought you might be talking about animal’s rights… but this turned out to be about humans not so bright :D
