Where DNA Found

DNA found in the nucleus of every cell, in addition to red blood cells. It is wounded and scattered along the 46 chromosomes. A set of 23 chromosomes is inherited from each parent. The chromosomes are genes in the DNA. A gene is a DNA sequence that, in general, but there are exceptions, codes for a protein. There are a lot of "junk DNA" that appeal is apparently nothing, even if there are bodies of work begins to show otherwise.

Mitochondria

These are small organelles that are the energy factories of the cell.  Contains a small amount of DNA that is separate from nuclear DNA.  For mitochondrial DNA is maternally inherited in sexual reproduction.
Plants and animals

In plants and animals DNA is also present in the cell nucleus.  DNA of all animals are very similar.  The main differences are that the number of chromosomes and genes, and the system of base pairs in these genes.
Viral DNA

A virus is essentially a very simple particle with nucleic acid on the shelf and certain important proteins, such as envelope protein.  The nucleic acid may be DNA or RNA, depending on the type of virus.  DNA can also be single-stranded or double stranded.  Some examples of viruses with double-stranded DNA is herpes simplex virus and smallpox.  Some examples of viruses with a DNA strand is the adeno-associated virus and bacteriophage M13 – that infects bacteria.  Viruses do not have nuclei.
Bacterial DNA

DNA is not inside a nucleus.  It is free flowing, like a virus.  Usually there is a single coil of DNA.  In some bacteria there, and this DNA is found in other structures called plasmids.  DNA is not essential here for the survival of bacteria.
DNA in space

Well ….  each time an astronaut blasts off.  digitized versions of personal DNA sequencing will soon be sent as part of an advertising campaign promoting $ 10,000,000 Archon X Prize for sequencing the genome.  Among those with better DNA will be digitized is the physical and author Professor Stephen Hawking to sell and comedian Stephen Colbert.
