The Most Colorful Exotic Birds
Tropical rainforests and places with warm climates are home to many exotic and some of the most gorgeously colored birds in the world. Here are some of them.
Only a few animals on earth are able to fly. But none of them are more powerful or skillful than the birds. Birds are the only creatures that have feathers. Their feathers help them to fly and keep warm. Some birds use their brightly colored feathers for display especially during courtship. In many cases, their fascinating colors are the reason many of their friends become endangered or extinct as they become victims of human hands for bird trade.
Toucan

Toucans are brightly marked birds found in South America and its surrounding areas. It is famous for its huge, colorful bill which it uses to reach for fruits on the tips of branches. Although the bill looks massive and heavy, it is actually hollow and very light, being composed of bone struts filled with spongy tissue of keratin. These beautiful birds have short, compact bodies with short, thick necks. Their legs are strong and short with two toes facing backward and another pair facing forward. Toucans are mainly fruit-eating birds but they have also been observed preying on insects and even small lizards.
Budgerigars
The Budgerigar (Melopsittacus undulatus) is a small, long-tailed primarily green and yellow small parrot with black scalloped markings on its wings and shoulders in its natural habitat. The bird has been bred extensively resulting in a profusion of colors, thus, most budgerigars in captivity may be blue and white, all yellow, all white or a combination of these colors. Budgerigars are nomadic birds found in open habitats throughout the drier parts of Australia. They are the most common pet parrot in the world being intelligent and social animals and enjoy the stimulation of toys and interaction with humans as well as with other budgerigars. They can be taught to speak, whistle tunes, sing and mimic sounds and words and even do simple tricks.
