The Honey Bee’s Dance

The five – seven – five format in a set of three.

I watched the honey bees this morning, moving from flower top to flower top. Their little legs became so heavy with pollen… I am amazed that they are able to continue about their duties…

Clover  to clover

dancing gayly in the sun

gathering pollen

***

work is never done

young mouths to feed each day

and the queen to keep

***

for honey is due

before winter’s mighty grip

bees live to give

It is amazing how bees spend their entire lives working on a single task for the whole of their community. In nature we view it as an awesome force and inspiring aspect but in real life, I think that would be called Communism :)
