The Guinea Baboon

Facts about the Guinea Baboon.

The Guinea Baboon lives in a habitat of dry forests.  They can be found in western Africa and have reddish brown hair.  Their faces are a violet colour and can live approximately 40 years.  They weigh about forty pounds.  The unique thing about this baboon is when the night time hits they sleep in a tree.  They live in a group of a couple hundred baboons’ and like humans have their own sort of hierarchy system. 

The main predators of the Baboon are Hyenas’ and Lions.  They eat nuts, berries and insects.  They are very good at communication and can make vocal noises to notify their friends about danger.
