This is the 1st in a series of six articles taking you by using pictures and video of one of creations most wonderful tales of survival. I was amazed when I first saw these videos and pictures.
Before part one of the “Great Sperm Race” just a little bit of information of just one Sperm.
Sperm cells cannot divide and have a limited life span, but after fusion with egg cells during fertilization, a new organism begins developing, The human sperm cell has 23 chromosomes and this one sperm has just one goal, to search out and find the female egg and fertilize, joining his own 23 chromosomes with the females 23 chromosomes creating life. This journey is not a simple one, it has many dangers and all will perish on the way leaving just one, lets call him Fred. Come with me now and witness the remarkable journey of Fred with your very own eyes
