The Eight Nostradamus of The Animal World
Here are some animals with the ability to predict what will happen in the future.
Nostradamus, a man who lived in the 1550s, is extremely and notoriously popular for his predictions. This French apothecary and reputed seer became famous worldwide in publishing collections of prophecies in 1555.
1.) Ladybugs

Ladybugs or Ladybirds are beetles known for their ability to predict the weather. These tiny creatures, which are also commonly known as Ladybird Beetles or Lady Beetles, can predict the weather six months in advance. Other common names of this amazing animal include Ladyclock, Lady Cow and Lady Fly.
2.) Elephants

Elephants are not just the largest and heaviest land animals but they are also extraordinary for their ability to predict tsunamis through infrasound. Elephants have exceptional sense of hearing and smell. The hearing receptors in their ears, trunks and feet are sensitive to vibrations and have special receptors for low frequency sound and are exceptionally well innervated.
3.) Leeches

Leeches are bloodsucking creatures dreaded by many. Leeches are not just medically important but they also possess the ability to predict storm through oxygen.
4.) Sharks

Sharks are Nostradamus of the underwater. These dreaded animals have the special ability to predict hurricanes through pressure. Sharks have electroreceptors that they use to detect the electromagnectic fields that all living things produce and help them find prey.
5.) Dogs

Dogs are man’s best friends and dogs are believed to have extrasensory perception compared to our senses. Dogs can discriminate odors at concentrations nearly 100 million times lower than humans can. The frequency range of dog hearing is approximately 40 Hz to 60,000 Hz allowing them to detect sounds far beyond the upper limit of the human auditory spectrum.
6.) Cats

Cats are amongst the world’s most favorite household pets in the world. Cats are known to have the special skill to predict electric storms. Cats have excellent night vision and have excellent hearing better than dogs. They can detect an extremely broad range of frequencies. They can hear higher-pitched sounds detecting frequencies from 55 Hz up to 79 kHz, a range of 10.5 octaves. Cats have the ability to hear ultrasound.
7.) Groundhogs

The Groundhogs, also known as Woodhucks, are native to North America. These rodents possess the ability to predict spring. These ground squirrels are also commonly known as Land-Beaver.
8.) Pigeons

Pigeons are believed to have the capability to predict earthquake. It is still a matter of debate whether Pigeons can predict earthquake or not. Snakes are also believed to have the ability to predict earthquakes.
The common belief that Cows can predict rain is false. The same is true with the belief that Death Watch Beetles can predict death.

Nobert, that was an excellent article. I have never heard that sharks can tell a hurricane is coming. I have heard that dogs can sense an earthquake.

Interesting post. The Beaver will build his house snug for a cold winder and well be less careful if the winter is going to be a mild one.
