The Dangers and Horrors of Fire Ants

Fire ants reside in the Southern United States. They are small and red or black in color
Fire ants got their name because if enough of them get on you, you feel like you are on fire.
They are one of the most hated and feared insects down south and for a good reason.
Fire ants destroy crops and will attack humans and anything that annoys them. They are known to attack humans. When a human being walks on or by their nest, God help them. Hundreds of ants will swarm all over them and they will bite them and sting them at the same time.
Not only do fire ants bite and sting, but they inject a powerful venom which often makes people sick in one way or the other.
People who are allergic to fire ant stings will die.
Fire ants were accidently introduced to the United States over sixty-years ago. They came from Brazil and a queen fire ant hitch hiked on a cargo ship, headed towards the US.
Fire ants like electricity, grease and warmth. They build their nest around these three factors.
There are ways to kill fire ants. People believe that bleach will kill them, so they put bleach in an ant hill. But that doesn’t really kill these ferocious insects. They simply take their tiny bodies else where.
Fire ants do not serve a good purpose at all. So just be careful. If enough of them get on you, God help you.

I have personally never been close to one but have seen many movies including fire ants. They don’t look to friendly and doesn’t want to tangle with them anytime soon.
