The Amazing Guardians of The Sea

These wonderful sea mammals have been our friends for as long as men can remember. There have been so many wonderful legends and stories of these benevolent creatures and their good will towards man.

Dolphins have Often been hailed for saving humans from mishaps at sea.. In Greek mythology, the writer Herodotus tells how Arion a musician was saved by the sea creatures after being thrown into the sea by his shipmates. The dolphins carried him back to land on their backs, according to the legend.

So many incidents have been reported that show Dolphins to be a surfer and swimmer’s best friend.

At a beach near Whangarei on New Zealand’s North Island, Dolphins are being credited with saving four lifeguards from a  9 ft. Great white shark. It is reported that seven Dolphins surrounded the swimmers until they could swim to shore.

At Marina State Park off Monterey, California, On August 28.2007, Surfer Todd Endris  was attacked by a Great white. Suddenly a pod of bottle-nose dolphins surrounded Endris, allowing him to get to shore, where quick first aid provided by a friend saved his life.


These amazing mammal’s Have been the source of legend throughout the ages. They are highly intelligent and playful. They have been renowned for their benevolence toward humans and have been legendary for their relationship with humans and many people have been  protected by them at sea,

These beautiful creatures have proven themselves to be a surfers best friend more then once.
