Draco a Cure for Viruses
We see miracles every day and usually don’t recognize them. One of our most recent miracles is DRACO. So far we have had no treatment or cure for viruses but researchers have now developed a cure for at least 15 viruses and maybe all viruses. DRACO has been tested on animals and cultures of human cells, and proved to destroy the viruses while doing no damage to organs, human cells or tissue. Imagine what it will mean to those suffering hepatitis and other incurable viruses. This news compares to polio vaccines and small pox vaccinations. It’s a brand new day.
Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have developed a wonder drug targeting viruses that have up until this time had no cure. DRACO which stands for “Doublestranded RNA Activated Caspase Oligomerizer” has been successful at killing 15 viruses in animals and human cell cultures, including the H1H1 flu virus, dengue fever virus, poliovirus, hepatitis viruses, and the rhinovirus. The research was funded by a grant from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease.
When a virus infects a healthy cell it produces long strands of double-stranded RNA or dsRNA and assumes control over the cell in order to replicate. Once it finishes replicating it kills off the host cell and moves on.

The way DRACO works is to get the viral cell to commit suicide. Researchers think it could work on any RNA containing virus and so far it doesn’t damage any other organs, cells or tissue. Just imagine what this means for those suffering hepatitis and other viruses that have no cure.
DRACO is designed to kill virus-infected cells while not harming uninfected cells. The drug works by using the body’s natural defense system against the virus. Researchers say DRACO will fight viruses as effectively as penicillin kills bacteria. How great is that?
More testing will be done on mice and and other animals before testing on humans and released to pharmacies for the general population.”In theory, it should work against all viruses,” says Todd Rider, a senior staff scientist in Lincoln Laboratory’s Chemical, Biological, and Nanoscale Technologies Group as told to MIT news.
Looks like we might even be able to kiss the common cold goodbye after all the years of sore throats, coughs and sniffles.

After all, the DRACO is not a miracle. Often we need miracles in our life to understand hope. Only death cuts off hope.

Everywhere we hear this or that kills bacteria and viruses. Some experts tell us to wash our hands for 20 seconds or longer.
