The Blob Fish : Nature Being Lazy
In the epitome of laziness, the Blobfish does not look for food or hunt in any way. They wll simply suck down anything that passes in front of their mouth. Because of their astonishingly low production of energy, there is little need for extra sustenance. Is this Blobfish something institute in Science Fact or merely Science Fiction?
How about an animal that is half horror flick star and half fish? I give you “Blobfish.” This guy is not a new find, but it is certainly worth re-examining. If you are a fisherman cruising around Austrailia and happen to find one, no it is not a severed head. It is a blobfish. And as it dehydrates it will actually deflate like the old melting Spongebob. Every characteristic of this creature is what you would expect: lazy, lethargic and slow.
The Blobfish is only seen laying about in the deep waters surrounding Australia. There you can only find it at the bottom of the ocean, it doesn’t actually sit. Interestingly enought, the female Blobfish will actually sit on their eggs until they hatch. Go do a google image search for that one because you truly need to see it to believe it. Apart from this mammal-like behavior, and it’s creepily human face, it will just hover above the sea floor or rest on sand. Then repeat. Over and over. Again.
