The Amazing Great White Shark
These Sharks spike fear in all of us, as they should with the big strong teeth and their huge body. Yet it seems that The Great White does not really attack humans, they prefer the warm blooded sea animals such as dolphins and seals.
The title alone can send shivers down ones back; sharks are scary creatures and the great white, with their silver bullet shape makes them very fast and deadly creature in the sea. The Great White Shark is part of the Mackerel family. The body alone is an impressive part of this creature. In the sea world of shark, the Great White Shark

Sharks come with built in sensory devices; along his snout there are sensors that pick up electrical signals, with other sensors within them to pick up the scent of blood in the surrounding waters. His bite is deadly he comes in nose first and as he prepares to bite he lifts his snout, which brings his upper teeth and lower teeth to its best advantage, giving the shark the best optimal for larger bite. With his large sharp teeth he bites right into his target, the shark aims for the center of his mark. As a sharks teeth fall out, new ones will move up to take the place of the old ones; the teeth are in rows and are serrated, making it easier for the shark to rip and bite. The center of his body is massive, solid but main streamed for speed. His liver is very large and loaded with thick oils, which help to keep him afloat, one less thing to worry about when he is planning his attack. When this shark swims he keeps his tail very stiff, which adds to the streamline of his body as he swims on. The most important part of this creature is his fins, without them constantly moving he will sink, but because of the sharks huge body the shark needs his fins to be strong to support all his weight.

It takes a great white shark about six to seven years to full maturity and sexual capability. The weight of shark will vary from six thousand to about seven thousand five hundred pounds. We are talking about a three-ton creature at its very lightest. Females sharks like other females of in the wild tend to be smaller, averaging about twelve to twenty feet long, and males growing larger. They eat all of the creatures in water, from fish to dolphin to finishing off the carcasses of already dead whales.
The reproduction cycle of shark are unlike other fish, or sea animals, the males injects his sperm directly into the females so her eggs become fertilized internally. The baby shark will grow inside his or her mother eating her supply of unfertilized eggs, allowing them to grow and mature quickly. Usually there are only one or two babies when the gestational period is over. When born the shark is fully on his own, the mother only makes sure she gives birth in areas that she will consider safe. The father has no interaction with the mother after the insertion of sperm. Fish usually just release hundreds of eggs into the water, this being their cycle and then the fish move on, leaving their eggs to develop or die.
These sharks are found near the coast of North America, Japan, parts of the Mediterranean and New Zealand just to name a few areas. They tend to swim the coastal areas of lands and around reefs where there are plenty of fish and sea mammals. The Great White is the only shark to attack sea mammals such as dolphins and seals. They have a great memory and return to shores that they have been to in the past, especially if they recall the areas that are colonized by seals, especially during the seals mating season when they can has a tremendous feast. The coast of California has a high concentration of seals, so you will find these sharks looking for the injured and baby seals, before the start attacking the more mature sea mammals. These sharks do not like an extreme temperature that is why they are not common in the Caribbean, or in the very northern hemisphere, near Alaska. Occasionally the shark will become misplaced and land in these areas, but it is very uncommon.

Believe it or not, but most people survive attacks by the Great White, since these creatures are slowly becoming extinct so in areas such as Africa and California they are being protected by different organization. It seems that after the shark takes a bite out of a human, he will move on suggesting that the human race is not all that tasty, at least not to the Great White Shark.
