Staghorn coral is found in the Florida Keys, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, the western Atlantic ocean, off the coast of south America, gulf of Mexican Bermuda. The coral can range from 2 centimeters to 2 meters. The coral is an average of 0-25 meters under water.
The coral cannot be at the surface or the waves will break it up, and it cannot be too deep or else it will not get any light. Stag horn coral is one of the main contributors to the coral reef because it is fast growing. This creates a structure to build on after a wreck lie a hurricane.
