Sea horses are little sea creatures that reside in the water. They are really unique and are really interesting creatures. Sea horses are different from most other organisms that reside on earth. The reason for that is that the male sea horse gives birth to offspring.

Sea horses are found in usually tropical climates and can vary in size. They are bony fish, and they don’t have scales. They actually have a thin skin expanded over a sequence of bony plates arranged in rings throughout their body. Each type of species has a diverse number of rings. Seahorses swim upright. They swim very feebly by using a dorsal fin, which they swiftly flicker to propel themselves. Also they use pectoral fins, located behind their eyes, which they use to steer themselves. Seahorses have no caudal fin. Because they are very poor swimmers, they are most likely to be found resting in beds of coral reefs or sea grass.

They have long snouts, which they use to suck up food. Their eyes can move individually like a chameleon. Seahorses eat tiny fishes, small shrimps and planktons.
