Disastrously Dangerous: Humans or Sharks!
Sharks are considered to be the lords of the oceans, thanks to their streamlined bodies and perfected art of predation that has made them to survive for billions of years now without going through much changes either morphologically, physically or tactically. But are they real threat to humans or is it the other way round.
1. Ignorant Attacks
Sharks never eat humans. Since humans are not in their menu of prey at all, the reasons for their attacks is due to the factors such as bad light, huge ambiguity of the water, human swimming patterns resembling hurt or dying fish, human silhouette resembling that of dolphins and sea lions, which sharks do not hesitate to eat, etc., and not because sharks are in pursuit of man. There are no man eating sharks in reality; not even man-attacking sharks, just that those sharks that have attacked so strongly that led to injuries that killed humans. On the other hand, humans tend to pursue sharks and kill them, not even for full flesh as they would do with other fish, but just to chop of their fins and tails and return the poor amputated creatures to the sea.
2. Never Kills What It Does Not Like
In general the sharks ensure that their first attack is very strong so that it can amputate or shock the quarry. Most of the creatures escape from the first attack to swim another day. However, humans being so fragile get fatal injuries and die sooner. Sharks never kill what they do not like and there is no instance of sharks coming back to finish off the humans as the first bite would have clearly told them that this is not their food. How many humans would not kill what they do not need? Hunters go out into the forests and kill innocent animals, just for the sake of fulfilling their ego and not even their stomachs.
3. Never Kills For Fun
Sharks, unlike humans, would never kill for fun. As observed in the open oceans and aquarium tanks, sharks are rather peace loving creatures which will hunt only if they are hungry and never for fun. How many humans can resist themselves from killing for fun even it is tiniest of insects that mean no harm to them in any way? Sharks do not come out of seas to hunt humans, while humans go out of land to hunt down sharks.
4. Hunts Only When Required
The feeding frenzy appears to be crazy and chaotic, but is actually organized group eating behavior for the sharks that do not hurt each other in the process unless provoked to do so. This is not true in case of the so-called civilized humans who cannot share resources peacefully with one another.
5. Never Abuses Resources
Sharks do not eat fish just because they fit into their mouths. They also ensure that they do birth control when the resources are lesser available, while copulate more and release more offspring in years of aplenty. Will humans be able to restrict themselves from smoking or alcoholism if they have lost jobs? Even if they are not able to feed their families, they have a strong urge to satisfy themselves with tobacco, alcohol and sex so as to increase their own problems.
6. Respects Helpers
There are no instances where the sharks have devoured the cleaner wrasse and other helpers which tend them and clean their parasites and clean up their skin regularly. These cleaning stations are visited regularly with peace flag high up and respect is paid to them. Humans tend to abuse their domestic help, who assist them in doing various things that they are supposed to do all by themselves. How many people respect the barber or the scavengers who clean up after people to make the society hygienic?
7. Cleanses Oceans
Sharks are not just great predators but also scavengers which make sure to clean up the oceans from carcasses that may pollute the oceans. On the other hand, humans tend to pollute the oceans and surroundings in all possible ways.
8. Some Won’t Kill Prey
Despite their demonic representation and reputation, many of the sharks do not even kill their prey and just eat small body parts such as tiny chunk of flesh or part of fin that would not affect the fish in any way. Humans are also good in pinching others emotionally in a way that they demean others as well as make sure that the other person feels low. They do this, despite knowing that it is disastrous to the whole society.
Considering the gentle giants in the form of sharks which are very useful for all the creatures in the seas and oceans, it is the humans who intervene in their peaceful lives and destroy the natural ways thereby quickening the world towards total damage.
