I Like The Giant Panda. Do You?

The Giant Panda is close to extinction and it could only be a matter of time unless we do something about it. Find out how you can help.

The Giant Panda one of nature’s playful creations. The Giant Panda is a well loved animal. It is even the logo of the WWE. But why should we worry about it?

The Giant Panda or Ailuropoda Melanoleuca, in scientific terms, lives in the south west of China and it is the rarest of the bear family. It is highly endangered, in fact on of the most endangered species on the planet. There is now less than 2,500 Pandas left! The Giant Panda faces a number of threats including; it’s habitats are becoming fragmented by roads and railroads in Southwest China, deforestation outside protected areas, and poaching.

But we can make a difference by making a donation to charities such as the WWE and SOP (Save Our Panda). I reticently have giving money to the Save Our Pandas website. They are an independent charity group dedicated to the survival of Giant Pandas. You can make a simple donation of any amount of money you wish through a simple paypal process. I found out about the site and the group while I was at an airshow last year. There was a few representatives there of the charity. After talking to one I was impressed by their commitment, passion and work. The Giant Panda has been one of my most loved animals since I was just a kid. So I’m pleading for you to check out this link to the website http://saveourpanda.webs.com/ and donate a tiny bit of money even if it’s just a couple of pounds. Thank you.
