Hybrids: A Rare Donkra Has Been Born

A Donkra is a Zebra-Donkey hybrid, and it was born at a Zoo in China http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/07/05/donkra-zebra-donkey-hybrid-video_n_890314.html. The legs are striped like its Zebra mother, but the head is like the donkey. It looks a bit weird too be honest. Hybrids are rare generally, because they are crossbreeds. There are examples of hybrids in both mythology and in Biology. In Biology other hybrids are; a Liger, which is a cross between a Tiger and a Lion, a Hinny which is a cross between a female donkey and a male horse. In mythology there are hybrids such as mermaids that are partly human, as well as centaurs and minotaurs. Hybrids are rare because it’s usually difficult to get two different species to breed with each other.
