This Huntsman was resting on my lounge-room wall.  They are a fairly common spider in Australia and seem to find there way inside no matter what screens you may have.

As I understand it they are fairly harmless (Can give a nasty bite I am told).  I have never heard of anyone being bitten by one.  They are frightening to look at though.  This fellow was about the size of a CD.  I have seen them even bigger!
