Why Water is Important to The Human Body

Why is it that humans should drink water everyday? What does water do that is so essential to living?

There are actually plenty of reasons why we have to drink water to stay alive. As many of us have heard, the human body is about 60 percent water.

Without water, dehydration will often affect people, starting first with headaches, tiredness, and a loss of concentration. After a longer while without water, extreme problems can occur, such as constipation or long-term kidney stones. Experts say that about 2.5 liters of water a day is how much the human body needs in order to stay healthy. Not drinking water everyday can delay how well your immune system will be able to fight back against any intruding viruses. Refraining from water everyday can also make your body function less effectively than it normally would, causing the person to zone out often and have a lack of decent focus which can in turn, also cause delayed reactions.

There is a limit to how long a person will live without water, but no one in their right mind would try to test that unless they absolutely had to. Though people can drink water every other day, it will not help if it is continued on long terms. Sure there’s that day we skip because we don’t have the time to grab a bottle of water, or even a cup from the office’s water cooler, but surely you can bring a water bottle from home? It’s not hard at all to prevent things like this from happening, it only takes a little bit of participation and your kidneys will thank you for trying. :)
