The Heart
As the heart beats, the Left Ventricle pumps the blood into the Aorta which leads the oxygenated blood flowing to all parts of the body.
The heart is a hallow muscular organ inside our body. It is responsible for pumping the blood into the Arteries. When our body is at rest the heartbeat become slower, beating about seventy to one hundred times for every minute. When our body is at work or moving around, our heart beat become faster.(rks coupon)
Inside the heart, a hollow space are divided into two top and and two bottom spaces.
The top space also called an Atrium is responsible for receiving blood from the Veins. The bottom space also called the ventricle is responsible for pumping blood from the heart to the arteries.
A part in the heart called Superior Vena cava drains blood from the upper part of our body, and the Inferior Vena cava drains blood from the lower part.
As the heart beats, the Right Ventricle will pump blood going to the Pulmonary Arteries. The blood then is pushed into other arteries and into the capillaries in the lungs. The blood now will pick-up oxygen from the lungs. The Pulmonary veins returns oxygenated blood from the lungs going to the heart.
The blood that returns from the lungs will flow into the Left Atrium, after, the blood then goes to the Left Ventricle
As the heart beats, the Left Ventricle pumps the blood into the Aorta which leads the oxygenated blood flowing to all parts of the body.
The blood is moving in one direction. Between each Atrium and Ventricle is a valve that keeps blood from flowing backward. A valve between the ventricles and the arteries also helps keep the blood from flowing in backward motion.
