Neuron Stimulation: Two Different Types
You know there are two ways to stimulate neurons, one is to increase the amount of stimulus, the other is to change the stimulus.
Let’s get right here, if you are medicine student and you want to become a greater doctor, you simply need to increase the amount of medicine you read or practice. Your neurons will have to adapt themselves to the new effort like the muscles to the new harder effort. Now the second part means you will not have to push yourself harder, for good people this is good news, you just need to try something different. Neurons fire faster when facing new experiences, the stimulus will have a greater impact in them this way (check my article about keeping neurons in peak condition for great links with flash animations explaining this in detail).
How can you get a decent amount of different stimulus to keep your mind 100% engaged in a healthy life? Unlike what you have been told, it’s not bad for your brain to be in constant motion, actually it’s built exactly for that. Since you used to be hunting for food all day long (some million years ago) your brain had to adapt itself to new problems and situation (and dangers) in real time. This feature is still present in our brains (All this information in Dr. Medina – Brain Rules – book) and to take advantage of it just engage yourself in a constant motion world.
There is no better way than to have the power of the digital thing to keep yourself in motion, no need to go outside and walk about 20 miles a day.
The objective is to change your entire computer stimulus as soon as possible. This means you should have a new wallpaper, new music, new sites all the time with the least amount of effort possible.

Neurons will just grow as much as the stimulus you give to them.
