How to Hold Your Breath Longer

Do you want to win in holding your breath contests or want to make it there and back in your neighbor’s pool? Maybe you simply wish have to come up less often for air. Well, this article tells you how.

Trainning

The first method is a natural way to hold your breath longer. Remember to breath slowly and focus on your breathing before you hold it with this method. Try going to point A in a certain number of breaths. This may be in a pool or it may be out of water. Of course, if it is out of water, you’re probably going to have to make a longer distance. Now once you’ve done your goal easily, but not too easily, you may want to reduce the number of breaths by one. To train more efficiently, you might want to do the same easy thing you’ve been doing a few more times. You might even want to reduce the breath each day! Keep following this routine until you’ve reached one breath. Then, to train your breath even more, increase the length of the route.

     Hyperventilating

The next method is called hyperventilating. They say that if you do it for a really long time, like 5-10 minutes… then you could pass out and go unconscious. You definitely don’t want this happening in the pool. To stay safe, do it for about 30 seconds. Now how you do it is you breath into your nose as far as you can and then breath out of your mouth as hard as you can. You do this but very, very quickly. It can increase your breath by up to 50% but this is more of a one-time thing. Once you hyperventilate and hold your breath, you have to do it again very soon.
