Cancer and Radiation, Things You Didn’t Know
Ever wonder why people get severe cancer or radiation poisoning?
Everything i do in this world i always have somebody tell me,”Don’t do that, that’ll give you cancer!,” or something like,” That’s not good for you at all.” I’ve thought to myself and done some digging… Nearly everything on this planet emits radiation. Every morning when you start up your car, you get a nice healthy dose of alpha rads. Even the Earth is constantly bombarded with radiation. Now alpha radiation doesn’t really hurt you, your skin itself protects you from it, even a layer of clothing or paper is enough to stop alpha radiation, but what about the other kinds? X-Rays can give you cancer, but why do we still use them? We still use everything that emits radiation quite simply because the chances of you contracting a small tumor or rad poisoning is really small. Those few people that do get it every year are just a statistic to the worlds life and death system. We use these things because it makes our life’s simpler, with the cost of less life. Hundred’s of years ago, there was no such thing as radiation poisoning, or for that matter radiation at all, even cancer was few and far strung. Look at the world now, hundred’s and thousand’s die each year, for what?
The standard human receives about 400 mrems (millirems) a year, excluding factory and plant workers, thats just enough to cause cancer.
Think to yourself next time, is this going to kill me?
