Are Boys Turning in to Girls Because of Man Made Chemicals?

Cases of accelerated puberty in young girls and the "transgender" phenomenon) are occurring with increasing frequency.

Recently we are seeing accelerated puberty in young girls , alarming increase in the men with extremely low sperm counts and transgender phenomenon growing at alarming pace.Endocrinologist have found out that  endocrine disruptor found in man made common chemicals like  DES, dioxin, PCBs, DDT , plasticizers and in many more chemical we use daily are responsible for this unusual phenomenon.Endocrine disruptor gets locked in to your fatty tissues and they can not be excreted out of our bodies as they are insoluble in water and they get accumulated during our entire life time.

Endocrine disruptor disturbs the endocrine glands that releases  hormones into the bloodstream to control various organs of the body. The endocrine glands includes the pituitary, thyroid, adrenal, thymus, pancreas, ovaries, and testicles.Developing fetuses and infants are are more vulnerable to endocrine disruptor.

In 50s and 60s doctor prescribed a synthetic estrogen called diethylstilbestrol (DES)to pregnant women to prevent miscarriages which was later found to contain endocrine disruptors.Over five million women were effected by this drug. Miscarriages, spontaneous abortions, premature births ,birth defects of  the   the uterus, ovaries, immune system defects, undescended testicles , malformed sperm in boys, chronic depression and other psychiatric disorders were reported.Use of estrogen have caused breast cancer in some women.

Study done in Potomac River in 2000 found 80 percent of the male fish collected had become feminized and their sex organs were not producing sperm.Scientists suspected that pollution in the river must have had something to do with it. Scientist have proved that large pesticide spill in lake Apopka, Florida was responsible for declining alligator population .Investigation relived  endocrine disruptor in  bodies and eggs of the alligator Similar type of spill also happed in Great Lakes area but this time it was polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) spill.Bird preying on fish in this area have shown similar dysfunctions.People who consumed fish from this lake had  thyroid problems. Of spring of fish-eating mother in this area weighed less at birth with smaller head and they scored less in IQ test.

Plastic bottles commonly used to store water and beverages contained substances known as phthalates which is considered to be potent endocrine disruptors. These chemicals can leach into the beverage, particularly when the bottle is subjected to heat, or when the beverage is acidic.Viinclozolin, fungicide used on fruit blocked testosterone signals in males. Animals exposed to bisphenol-A and other phthalates have became hyper and agitated. This endocrine disruptor could irreversibly retard brain development,

With not much of government control over this chemical manufacturer let us follow simple precaution to save our next generation,

  • Educate yourself, your family and friends about endocrine disruptors.
  • Use organic pesticides and fertilizers.
  • Do not give young children soft plastic teether or toys
  • Buy organic food Whenever possible
  • Do not store  fatty foods or water in plastic containers. Use glass article were ever possible.
  • It is better to use natural estrogen replacement for men who require hormone replacement therapy .

A very informative article. Likewise, there are many chemical substances we are consuming not knowing the impact on human health. I wish someone like you should disclose such facts so that all are aware.

    SCARY TRANSSEXUALS ARE EVERYWHERE!

    The author says that the,
“transgender phenomenon (is) growing at alarming pace”.
offering only a silly, phobic warning backed by zero evidence.
(Hermaphrodism is NOT the same thing as being transgender)

Put simply, there is NO EVIDENCE to support the claim that there are more transgender people now than there were in the past.
Three things have changed though, that might falsely give this impression:

First, the medical options for transgender people have improved, and become more accessible (financially and geographically), so more transgender people are able to actually do something, physically, about their gender identities.

Second, the internet made those options ‘discoverable’; prior to the ubiquity of the internet, if someone wanted to research these things he or she had to take a huge social risk by asking their doctor for information (and most doctors didn’t know anything anyway).

Third, the growing acceptance of gay-lesbian people has given hope to the transgender community that they might also someday (soon?) be treated as equals, and this has meant that many are now willing to be open and honest about their gender identities and gender histories, on and offline.

The fact is, there are also more publicly self-identified F2M transgender people now than there were ten years ago too. How do “feminizing” chemicals figure into that increase?

This is just someone acting scared of transgender people, viewing their increased visibility as a threat of some kind and searching for a way to “cure” society of their presence.

Twenty years ago this article would have been directed at the “alarming” increase in homosexuality, and what we can do to “cure” it — thank goodness those days are ending.

    - Susan

If this where true in any way the population of trans would be vastly greater then it is. It just hypothetical fear over something that is not thoroughly studied but Susan H. gave some great actual reasons for this. Transgender people have been cased to be around since Egyptian times. Its not a new thing and chemicals in the water aren’t changing people. Given how sterile our water is these days its amazing that we haven’t weakened our immune system to diseases.

  28. John Wilson Says...

    On March 31, 2012 at 4:08 pm

Susan H. and Brittany seems like u r both defending your opinion a little much. These chemicals would absolutely have an affect upon everything in the environment. Look what happened to the fish. the fish are now transgender. The fish were not transgender before. No one is allowed to comment in any negative manner or form about anything concerning homosexual or transgender issues without the defenders of liberty swooping in and calling you a “homophobe”, “racist”, or the best one “right wing christian fundamentalist nutjob”. Read what the article says and take the scientific value that describes how our entire environment is now toxified by these estrogen byproducts. If you change the biology of humans, then you can change the sexual nature of that human’s physiology. Making the author out to be a homophobe/transgenderphobe is pathetic.

  29. Jen Done Says...

    On March 31, 2012 at 4:29 pm

Is all this scare-mongering about transgenderism really necessary? If you had a point to make about the negative impacts of chemicals released into the environment, I suggest you not list transsexuality as one of them. I also suggest you not take any opportunities to slander an already marginalized static segment of the population. Odin knows I get enough of it already. And please don’t reply “That’s not what this article is about!” because it sidelines the issue even further, as if we don’t matter.

This transgender debacle is a side issue. It’s really a shame that one poorly chosen word has derailed a debate about such an interesting and pertinent article. Anyone preparing to write another tirade accusing the author of homophobia, please re-read the article and consider how much weight the author has given the transgender issue, and consider which is more important, a small number of people’s feelings, or the poisoning of the majority of humanity…

Jen Done, you can’t make every debate a transgender one, this IS NOT ABOUT TRANSGENDERS. With respect I would suggest that on this issue, you do not matter, sorry.

That said, I find it scientifically probable that chemical imbalances caused by these toxins would lead to the modification of sexual behaviours and/or gender identification. OK. This is not the place to discuss the rights and wrongs of sexual preferences and gender identification, but hopefully we can all agree that introducing these toxins into our bodies and into the environment is a BAD THING. Perhaps we should focus on:

Which products contain these toxins (so we can avoid them).
Which companies use packaging that contain these toxins (so we can boycott ALL their products).
Which governments fail to clamp down on the use of these dangerous chemicals (so we can organise campaigns to raise awareness)

For my part I would mention that all aluminium drinks cans are lined with Bisphenol-A, so for example you should buy beer in glass bottles. And although the FDA is looking into this issue they have for too long labelled this chemical as safe. In fact, I would suggest that governments, such as those in the USA and Great Britain, who have for too long prioritised the profits and welfare of corporate big business over the health and livelihoods of the people they supposedly serve, should be asked some very serious questions about where theirt allegiances really lie.

    Peace and love to all.

Seriously? So much praise for this? This must be a late April Fools’ Day joke. No hard evidence is given for ANY of these claims. It is all anecdotal at best. The author has a tenuous grasp on biology at best and is a perfect example of the ill-informed touting pseudo-science as actual science.

This is also a perfect example of confirmation bias. All of you people saying “great article, very well done” have already made up your mind on the issue and are just patting each other on the back for a job well done. This is not a job well done, for your information.

If you wish to write about science. CITE YOUR SOURCES. Provide links to peer reviewed papers on the subject, reputable journal articles, something other than your own opinion backed up by misinterpreted ideas. The fact that you did not even bother to do so is proof enough that you have no idea what the scientific process is all about. Thank you for making this world a dumber place.

Are you kidding me? Transgender people have existed for thousands of years in almost every tribe across the globe. Most commonly transgender people were shaman because they didnt want to be with women in the traditional sense nor did they want to be with men so they lived seperate amongst their communities and were revered as being in touch with the spirits, etc. I can not believe how stupid people are who buy into this oh it is wrong crap. People are like sheep in America because they believe about anything they read on the internet and follow about every nutjob that crawls out of the woodwork and thinks he or she is righteous with God.

Hey, pro-homos. Instead of bashing the writer for being homophobic or whatnot, imagine first what the world would be fuckin like if:

    1. There were no longer manly men and feminine women. Men no longer cared for looking hunky, and women no longer cared for looking pretty.

    2. All men are gay and people who appear to be women have dicks underneath their skirts.

    3. People born female all transformed themselves into fat, ugly, hairy males

    4. If you’re a dude, imagine having sex with a “girl” who secretes the sweat of a dude.

I don’t care if you like people straight or gay or both, or how messed up in the head you are. What the author did is a favor. At least he opened up to us a possible reason for why things are happening.

  40. Harris Stromberg Says...

… And the other person who said something about the problems with fish and other animals having messed up genders have it right. If this gender issue is putting the survival of certain animals at risk, don’t you pro-homos think we’re in trouble too?

Hide your kids. Hide your wife! The water bottle drinking transgenders are gonna get you and give your little boys man-boobs.

While I agree that there are alot of chemicals that do disgusting things to the human body… the tone is pretty obvious. Atleast maybe now folks will realize that homosexuality and transgender issues are not always a “choice.” (See how I use my quotation marks here to be passive aggressive?)
