Found a New Family of Spiders in The U.s

Scientists in the United States says it has found a new family of spiders in a cave in the area of California and Oregon, USA.

These spiders – the most up to seven centimeters in length – Trogloraptor named because it has “tremendous claws or legs like a pocket knife to trap his prey”.

Mentioned this spider has a unique form of evolution is not merely represent a new genus or species, but also a new family of spiders.

Curator of Arachnology at the California Academy of Sciences, Charles Griswold, told the Today program presenter, Sarah Montague, the discovery was a”historic event”.

This important discovery, published in the journal ZooKeys, revealed that the claws of spiders showed their fierce, suchas specialized predators.

Even so, scientists have not determined their food and how they attack and kill prey.
