The Problems of Agriculture in Rwanda and Chile
Rwanda and Chile ,two large producers of bananas ,have had tragedies that are difficult to explain. The main explanation is probably a question of preserving and stocking the bananas.
The history of Burundi is linked to the history of Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Rwanda is located in the very center of Africa between Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. The language spoken in Rwanda is Kinyarwanda. There are three ethnic groups in Rwanda, the Hutu, twa and the tutsi. The hutu constitute the majority of the population in Rwanda and are agriculturalists. The main produce of Rwanda are bananas. The bananas are also grown in Latin America, in Chile and Ecuador in large quantities. That is why there is a possible relationship between Chile and Rwanda with regards of the socio-economical political situation of both countries.
Chile had two tragedies one in 1972 with the Suicide of Salvador Allende and the other one with the students who refused to be employed while studying. Rwanda has the same problem because agriculture has not been considered as work. The agriculturalists in Rwanda like everywhere in Africa and in the world sell produce and are paid according to the demand of the market. The problem is when there are extra produce. This means that there is a need to stock the produce and this seems to be a technology which is not yet available.
Bananas can be sweet or vegetables and they can be transformed in wine. The problem with banana wine is that it can lead to alcoholism and this is not good for pregnant women especially. The other ideas about alcoholism is that alcoholic people do not work or have family problem. So, there ought to be an organization of the market to preserve and stock goods.
