Names of Structural Isomers From Carbon Molecules with 3, Four and Five Carbons

This article contains all of the isotopes that you would never need to know at a highschool level for propane, propene, propyne, butane, butane, butyne, pentane, pentene, and pentyne! Includes: C3H4, C3H6, C3H8, C4H6, C4H8, C4H10, C5H8, C5H10 and C5H12.

The next group of names contains the isomers of Carbon formations with 3 carbons each!

C3H4

propyne

C3H6

propene

C3H8

propane

This next section of for formations with 4 carbon molecule!

C4H6

Butyne

But-2-yne

Cyclobutene

1methylcyclopropene

3methylcyclopropene

C4H8

Butene

But-2-ene

Methylpropene

Cyclobutane

methylcyclopropane

C4H10

Methylpropane

Butane

This last section has isomers for molecules with 5 carbons!

C5H8

1methycyclobut-1-ene
3methycyclobut-1-ene

1,2dimethylcycloprop-1-ene

Pent-1-yne

Pent-2-yne

3methylbut-1-yne

The only one that I am unsure of its name is a cyclo butane with a double bond between the ring and the 5th carbon which sticks out

C5H10

Cyclopentane
Methylcyclobutane
Ethylcyclopropane
1,1-dimethylcyclopropane
pent-1-ene
pent-2-ene

2methylbut-1-ene
2methylbut-2-ene
3methylbut-1-ene

C5H12

Pentane

Methylbutane

2,2dimethylpropane

This list should include every structural isomer of structures with 3, 4 and 5 carbons!  Sorry if I forgot some of the more obvious ones, but otherwise please enjoy the article!  Hopefully it brings you success in your schoolwork!
