Can you imagine a place with foreign animals running around freely? A penguin from the north waddling on sand beach. Lions attacking monk seals on the shore of the beach. A gorilla in your backyard! Some people are taking their exotic pets to faraway places that are not suitable for them. People shouldn’t bring their exotic animals to a faraway environment.

Not bringing an alien species of animal to a place helps protect the local environment. This is because a foreign animal to a different environment could endanger it by killing the local plants or animals by competing with other animals for resources. For example a parrot in Hawaii could compete with native birds and eat their food possibly. Not only that but foreign animals have a high chance of damaging crops or even carrying a foreign disease that could endanger animals around it. Also there is the incident of seven Brown Tree Snakes found dead in Hawaii.

Foreign animals may cause harm to there owners or other kinds of people. Not only people bringing their pets illegally but animals such as snakes sneak on airplanes from Guam to here. Or the foreign Africanized Honey Bees that have caused 1000 deaths which could have been prevented by checking the cargo on ships or planes. People illegally buy piranhas and bring them into Hawaii as pets which is illegal according to the law and an incident of an inspector getting injured from a bite too!

People around these alien animals won’t complain of problems if the animals are sent back to where they came or never came at all. A person wouldn’t have the fear of swimming outside a pool from an alien species like the piranha because an incident of two piranhas in the water. Or maybe a crocodile coming out since some people purchase them and discard them when they are too large. There is also annoying things from certain animals, like the Coqui frog species that make an annoying sound.

So people should not bring alien animals to foreign places and there should be inspectors for planes or ships to see if there is a risk of a wild animal coming to a faraway place.

Larger Lockers

In Niu Valley Middle School we need better bigger lockers in the locker room.

The reason we need bigger lockers is many people have to carry their textbooks or binders inside their bags and if they have P.E. they have to stuff their bag in the lockers in the locker room. So for some people lockers do not fit inside the locker. Also people lose things from taking things out of their bag to fit it in with the object he/she took out. For example one person forgot an item back in the locker room and never got it back. It is also an inconvenience to fit your bag inside a locker that isn’t big enough to fit your bag in which is annoying and time consuming.

So in Niu Valley we need larger lockers in the locker rooms to fit our bags inside conveniently.
