For instance, fertilizers are helpful for plants so as to provide them with required nutrients, but if at all the fertilizers are given more to plants then it causes to ruin the plan.

Due to some improper disposal of contaminants the land can get pollution directly. Air pollution and water pollution are also being a cause for land pollution. Air pollution sources like acid rain, which are mainly resulted by the industrial emissions and disposition from fires and combustion, are causing land pollution. Water pollution is also responsible for contaminating land with various agricultural and urban runoffs.

Depending upon the nature of the pollutant are the environmental impacts of land pollution. Fungicides and herbicides will degrade relatively soon in the environment. Improper selection of pesticides will also harm organism very potentially. Such kind of poisonous agents will result in birth defects and cancer.

Land pollution consists of solid waste and soil pollution. A solid waste is considered to be a solid matter or semisolid that is made by human or animal activities, and which are disposed so that they are harmful or not of any use. Some of the solid wastes are not biodegradable that means they cannot get broken with inorganic or organic processes like paper, containers, cans, bottles, electronic goods, used cars, plastic containers and so on. When they are collected together, they cause harm to people. Soil pollution is resulted through pesticides, like poisons which used to kill agricultural pests.

The soil will get pollution by the chemicals which are in herbicides and pesticides that are mainly used for agricultural purposes. These days, most of the issues are resulted to land pollution.

Land pollution is resulted due to farms because they permit manure to gather that leaches into all nearby areas of land. Chemicals, which are been, used for sheep dipping will result in hazardous land pollutions.

Land pollutions can affect humans, plants, wildlife in various ways like they result in causing problems in the respiratory system, and skin. They also lead to defects in birth. Land pollution also causes various cancers.

In order to avoid land pollution, people should be literate and should be well known about the harmful factors of littering. Domestic purposes items should be reused or recycled. Organic waste matter must be disposed in some areas that are very far from residential areas. Inorganic materials should be reclaimed and then they should be recycled.

It is very important to protect the globe from getting affected from harmful effects of the land pollution. This will make the coming generation lead a happy life. All of them should take appropriate steps to better the environment and make the globe green and healthy. Thus, necessary guidelines will help to decrease the pollution caused to land. Contamination of land surface on earth is increasing day by day, and it should be controlled in an appropriate way.
