Household Tips
We can all learn something new from tips about whatever subject we are interested. Even if you only learn one thing I hope you considered reading my article worth your time.
We all take baths and showers daily (I hope!) and because we use the water so often the habitat of the bathroom is damp. In our bathrooms, some women store makeup on the vanity or on a shelf, we also store bottles of body soap, shampoo. Many different things. All these containers can because of the dampness can get rust on your vanity and shelves. To help you solve this problem, first get rid of the rust on the surfaces that have collected it and then on all the containers. Then take all the containers and paint four coats of clear nail polish on the rims. Let dry thoroughly to seal the rim from rust and Presto! no more rust!

Do you love to cook? Do you make rich, greasy, comfort food a lot? Does your food splash grease and oil onto the glass of your oven door. Another use for vinegar. Buff the window with a sponge saturated in full strength distilled vinegar. Keep it on 20 minutes without doing anything to it, then sponge it off with hot soap and water. It rubs off easily because the vinegar breaks up the acids.

Do you water your plants too much and kill them or do you easily kill plant by not watering it enough? If you want to be aware of whether your plant needs more water. Tap on the pot. If you hear a hollow sound, that means it’s time to water your plant. If the sound is dull, the soil is damp below the surface and you shouldn’t water it or that might be the demise of your plant if you water it more.

Do you iron a lot of clothes? (my mom doesn’t even know where her iron is!) But if still do iron and your iron has debris from starch you use on your clothes and now your clothes are getting spots on them. Do you either continue ironing and have spots on your clothes or just go about your life with wrinkled clothes because you have no idea how to get the detritus off? Clean the metal sole-plate by putting the iron on medium heat with no steam, then run iron over a fabric softener sheet that is used. All the remains will stick to the fabric softener sheet.
