Biomimicry,engineering,beauty,and God
While researching the science of Biomimicry, I was inspired to write this piece.
I have taken up a new interest recently, biomimicry. Contrary to what some might have thought, I am not anti-science. In fact I Love science, and biomimicry is an aspect of science and technology that I find particularly interesting. According to the definition of biomimicry it is “life imitation” basically robotics created to imitate living organisms. I recently wrote an article (which may or may not be published by the time this one is) called “Wonders of Engineering” which discussed biomimicry some.
I was particularly intrigued by biomimicry because it shows artistry in the engineering of these robotics. Dear All, it is a fascinating subject no matter who you are I can assure you. When I look at the world, I view it as a rational place, beauty and enginuity are all around us, the developers of the discipline of biomimicry have said they were inspired by the DESIGNS they saw in living things.
If some of the world’s best engineers admit to seeing Design in living organisms, why is it so difficult for some other people? (Many atheists for example.) I am Christian, and as a believer in Almighty God I have this to say, I appreciate the beauty, engineering, and creativity I recognize in creation.
God created man (and woman) to fellowship with Him. We also have the ability to appreciate, create, investigate, and explore.
That is why God gave us an enquiring mind, use it wisely.
God Bless
