Beatiful and Exotism of Karimunjawa Island

Karimun Jawa Marine National Park is 110 000 hectares and is located 90 km north east of Jepara in Central Java. We will find the mangrove forest and beach forest. The park takes its name from the island of Karimun Jawa largest. The vegetation consists mainly of mangrove forest and beach, although some lowland rain forest is the Karimun Jawa. Most of the islands surrounded by sandy beaches and coral reefs. Fresh water is only a couple of small pits in the forest, and water flows in Karimun Jawa. A number of endemic animals live on the island, while the coasts of the sea turtles lay their eggs. The mean tidal range is 92 cm.

The archipelagic Karimunjawa, not as we know marine reserves near Ambon and Manado, has unexpectedly good beaches, reefs and the most beautiful areas of the sea. Corals seem to blossom in the gardens, with an amazing variety of shapes and colors fishermen and marine plants. It is 90 km from Jepara and can reached by “KM Adison Kota Ukir I. & C” boat, the ferry only connect Karimunjawa and Jepara.
