A Welsh Haven at It’s Best
Please join me to explore Cenarth Falls in South Wales.
I sat for a while
at the river’s edge
where it flowed
in total innocence;
contemplating
in echoing mind;
this way
this way;
that way
that way??
yesterdays doubts
merge
with waterfalls
desiccated
into
droplets
exploding into
Mother Nature’s
tears.
Colliding
with gnarled
trees;
branches become
crooked fingers
of
days gone by ;
the myths resurrected
reborn into ancient
days of yesteryear
cry and mingle
with the gull’s call.

On a gnarled log
I sit and watch ;
Water gushes;
in mid-journey;
water falls
into gaps so wondrous
feeling
flowing
and enticing.
Exhale each
breath filled dream;
allow these
pictures
of mental attitude to
protect and magnify.
The river
carries our voices
into the crescendo
that rises above the gushing
emotions
of love so wondrous.
Her secrets
will rise to heights
not yet
savoured;
explored;
accepted.
Your mind’s eye will
carry
each droplet
through life’s
probing passage.
Meandering
twisting
and turning;
to
and
fro.

I arrive at a journey
matured;
Will my dream
live on into tomorrow?
Will it be cleansed
beyond recognition?
Will I lose hope?
Will I cry?
As my heart rises with the
crescendo
of each rivulet;
each torrent
of a river’s
journey ;
way up high;
too high to be
lost;
to high
to be damaged.
I cried and
my tears mingled with
Mother Nature’s
magical lanes of tears;
lanes of pride and lanes of faith.

Minds cleansed;
hearts understood;
contemplation complete;
emotions play
with the spray;
that treasures all.
Moistens each
dried up rivulet
to our heart;
to our soul.
Into each days’ estuary
she will flow;
which one
is hers to decide !!
In which lane will she flow to the sea??
The choice is hers:
The choice is ours.

I share your poem’s sadness. You are not alone in being humbled by Mother Nature. But, she takes care of her own. Not everyone is tuned in, but that is why we are here. If you are up for visitors, will you still be there in September? You are also cordially invited to our sleepy village: 53, -0.535353.

Eddy, This is such a beautiful tribute to the powers of water and people. Also, I love your two models: they’re very photogenic, and very illustrative of what you say.
Respectfully, and with many thanks to you, Ellie and Dai, Derdriu
